Livius in Lexington
Our Lexington center has been a community staple for more than 25 years, and we’re proud to serve new and returning students here each year. Whether you’re looking for private tutoring, small-group sessions, or hybrid classes that can be completed in our center and online, our time-tested programs are accessible, supportive, and results-driven.
At Livius Lexington, our expert tutors have matriculated from some of New England’s top colleges and universities, and they understand the unique pressures and challenges students face as they complete high school and prepare for post-secondary degrees. Livius instructors take their role as student advocates and academic liaisons seriously, and we recognize that a key factor in successful tutoring includes the connections we foster with our students and families.
Our programs and practices have been honed over more than 35 years to meet students’ evolving needs as the academic landscape continues to shift. And while exam content or admission criteria might change year to year, our focus on supporting students throughout their unique academic journeys never wavers. This includes not only how or what students study, but where they study, too. With this in mind, each Livius location has been designed as an inviting, safe, and focused learning environment.
Our Newton center serves students from high schools across the community, including Newton North, Newton South, Newton Country Day, Fessenden, and Solomon Schechter, as well as students from surrounding schools in Needham, Brookline, and the greater Boston
What our clients are saying about the Livius experience
"They look at your child as an individual. Specifically tailoring a program and tutor to their needs. I like that they can see every kid/family is unique."
Jenn, Livius Tutoring Parent
"Livius has been prepping my son for ACTs this coming July. Hoping that we can improve by about 3 points. Looks like we are on track. I would highly recommend. Alex our tutor has been great!!"
LC, Livius ACT Parent
"Our daughter’s ACT score went from a composite 24 to 29 in less than 30 hours of one-on-one tutoring. Her science went from a 22 to a 31, with similar improvements across 3 of the 4 test areas. She is not a natural test-taker but needed to take the ACT for admission to the colleges of her choice. Our tutor not only taught our daughter how to approach the mechanics of the ACT, but she learned the material thoroughly."
